Job Description Overview We are seeking a
CDL Training Instructor to join our team in the Moving I-4 Forward facility in
Kissimmee, FL . This is an embedded position and will require
85% travel throughout the state of Florida. Your role - Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction in CDL Class A driving.
- Teach general transportation construction practices, heavy equipment operation, and jobsite safety protocols.
- Develop and implement curriculum aligned with OSHA, industry standards, and workforce development goals.
- Monitor trainee progress, track certification hours, and provide individualized coaching and mentorship.
- Prepare trainees for CDL exams through instruction in vehicle systems, mechanics, and pre-trip inspections.
- Support job placement efforts through coordination with program staff and industry partners.
About you - Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation, highway construction, or related field.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) plus eight years related experience OR an Associates
- Degree in a related technical field plus six years related experience is required.
- Valid CDL Class A License with a clean driving record.
- Experience delivering training or mentoring in a workforce development or technical education setting.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
- Ability to operate and instruct on heavy equipment and CDL vehicles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with simulator-based training preferred.

Additional information Expected compensation range is between $31.25-$33.65 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
