Overview
Registered Nurse, ER (Emergency Department) in Utica, New York, United States. Start date: 10/19/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,414-$2,608 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department for newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Perform triage assessments, ongoing monitoring, and timely documentation of patient status
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders, including adherence to unit protocols
- Manage IV Therapy and drips as prescribed; monitor for adverse reactions and adjust care as needed
- Chart accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record; communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
- Respond to emergencies, participate in rapid assessment and intervention, and support patient throughput
- Coordinate with ancillary staff and physicians; float to related ED areas as needed to meet patient demand
- Provide education and discharge planning for patients and families; ensure safety and appropriate follow-up instructions

Requirements
- Current New York State registered nurse license; active status with Nursys verification
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (all current) required
- Experience: 2+ years ED nursing experience; some pediatric exposure preferred; travel experience required
- Education: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN)
- EMR: EPIC experience required
- Travel eligibility: Must live 75 miles or more away from the facility for travel roles; locals within 75 miles may qualify for local rate
- RTO: Reasonable time off requests (RTO) must be included at time of submission
